About Sun & Sand RV Park
Our family has been going to Okanagan Falls for 62 years. Our Mom and Dad, Art and Sheila decided in 1973 that they should try to purchase the park because the other ones were being torn down to build condos. Along with a few others they purchased Sun & Sand. Not too far into the purchase the others decided that they wanted to move on and so Art and Sheila chose to purchase their contribution in order to keep Sun & Sand so that families and friends could still enjoy camping with their families. Our Dad worked extremely hard in business and our Mom was always at home for us but going to the Okanagan for our two-week vacation back then was a life saver for them to get away, relax and have fun with us and their friends.
There were times when it was difficult to keep the park going but they never gave up. We are so thankful for that. There are four girls in our family and we all have amazing memories of growing up here. Learning to ski, tube, jump off the rock bluffs and just have that feeling of freedom that comes with camping. Canvas tents that leaked when it rained, Coleman stoves, bonfires and lots of parties and laughter. Meeting people from different parts of the world and creating friendships that have lasted forever.
There are people that have been coming here to our park for over 40 years. We have several “seasonal” people that have been with us for many years. We are so grateful for their friendship and support over the years. Pat and Bob our managers are wonderful and make you feel welcome the minute you arrive. Our family has grown immensely with grandchildren and great grandchildren and we all enjoy “the lake”.
We are so fortunate to have found our “little piece of heaven” here in OK Falls. We know that our Mom and Dad are watching over all of us and are so happy that their decision and hard work has benefited so many. Please come and enjoy Sun & Sand with all of us. We would love to meet you.
